Power Management IC Design Techniques

主讲人:Assistant Prof. Yan Lu (State Key Lab of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, University of Macau)

  时 间:2018年7月17日(周二)14:30-16:00

  地 点:沙河校区电子楼(原微固楼)137会议室

  内容简介:

Every electronic device needs high-efficiency, compact, and fast-response power management IC (PMIC), and the demands from various applications never stop nor slow down, making it an increasingly popular research topic. This talk will touch upon three sub-categories of PMIC, which are wireless charging, switched-capacitor (SC) DC-DC converter, and low-dropout (LDO) regulator. Selected recent works done by my group will be briefly introduced, for examples, an X-connected structure for the reconfigurable bidirectional wireless power transceiver, a ring-shaped SC power converter with loop bandwidth extension, and an analog-assisted digital LDO regulator.

电子论坛第27期-Yan Lu.jpg

Yan Lu received the PhD degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, in 2013.

In 2014, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI of University of Macau as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include, wireless power transfer circuits and systems, RF energy harvesting, next-generation power management solutions and voltage regulators.

From 2013 to present, Yan has contributed 9 ISSCC papers which are distributed in three sub-areas of power management IC: wireless power transfer, low-dropout regulators and switched-capacitor DC-DC converters. Dr. Lu served as a member of Technical Program Committee of several IEEE conferences. He also served as a reviewer of a number of journals/conferences including IEEE JSSC, TCAS-I, TCAS-II, TPEL, TBioCAS, TVLSI, etc. He co-authored three book chapters, and one book entitled “CMOS Integrated Circuit Design for Wireless Power Transfer” published by Springer, and edited one book entitled “Selected Topics in Power, RF, and Mixed-Signal ICs” published by River Publishers. Yan was a recipient/co-recipient of several international awards including the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Pre-doctoral Achievement Award 2013-2014, the IEEE CAS Society Outstanding Young Author Award 2017, and the ISSCC 2017 Takuo Sugano Award for Outstanding Far-East Paper.
